Man, the past several months have been a whirlwind. How is it already March? But rather than just making excuses, I come with an offering. A video.
We’ve always wanted to do videos at Makeup Chicken. In fact, I think it’s the primary thing we wanted to do here, back in the early days when JT and I were joking about writing a makeup blog.
This is not a tutorial. It’s more of a trial run. I’m not even wearing makeup! It’s also ridiculous and abundantly clear that I need better lighting! But it’s what I’ve got. I’m sorry we’ve all been gone so long.

Thanks for the video! I’m excited and, dare I say, a teeny bit optimistic that if you guys do start posting more videos, at some point I might actually learn to apply makeup well.
Marianne, are you willing to tell where you got your glasses and/or who makes them? I am trying to find some new interesting ones, and having a hard time figuring out where to start.

Yay, you guys like the silly video! I’m working on more – but I’ve discovered I am TOTALLY INCAPABLE of talking to the camera when my husband is home. He’s got class tomorrow, at least.
My glasses are a brand called LaFont – LaFont, hands down, makes my favorite frames in the world. This is the Primrose frame in black and white and it can be most cheaply found on eBay. I got them at my local eye doctor’s office when I had good vision insurance, which I know isn’t much help to anyone else.

That is so cool! I have Lafonts myself, the Ivoire (which I believe is discontinued). I love them, and I love yours. I never thought about checking eBay so thanks for that suggestion too.
